Spasms of Consciousness

Awareness is both a supreme gift and an unbridled curse. Have you noticed? The illusion of time is specifically tied to awareness and memory. We punish ourselves, or occasionally please ourselves, with memories of that which is forever gone. We terrify ourselves, or drive ourselves on, with visions of a non-existent future.

Everything happens right now, always.

The Quest to be Interesting

We either amuse ourselves or rely on other things to amuse us. This is a matter of autonomy. The majority of people lack the will to be autonomous, which is not the same thing as being alone or entirely self-sufficient.

Who or what is responsible for each of us? Others? No. I believe we are responsible for ourselves to the degree that we can control our actions, and responsible for our reactions to that which we cannot control. It is in this light that I developed the Xaxerean "Principle" Pattern.

The pattern is simple, but not easy. Those who choose to practice it pick a pursuit for each day of the week. These pursuits are things that the user wishes to master, with a focus on the specific outcomes of pleasure, victory, health, wealth, power, skill, and wisdom. It is deceptively simple, but is the end result of many years of investigation into ancient and modern psychological and spiritual systems. Profit from it!

This pattern will mean something different to each person, which is the idea. Most organizations insist that their practitioners engage in the same behaviors. This simplifies the process of control over the subservient population, but is not the path for those who seek freedom in spiritual or material development.

Blasphemy and Heresy

Blasphemy is a communication by an outsider that is unacceptable to the members of a faith-based organization.

Heresy is the same as Blasphemy, but perpetrated by one who is inside the organization. These violations may be quite tame, but often result in the death of the initiating party at the hands of outraged believers.

Fundamental reality is not faith-based. It merely exists, despite our beliefs or lack thereof.

Sometimes it takes an extreme measure to rid the human race of specific fictional beliefs. I call these "unthinkable abominations". They are so named because a "true believer" cannot even conceive the idea.

Once these concepts have been conjured up by a heretic or blasphemer, they become "unspeakable abominations" until they are actually communicated. Upon being uttered, or written down and read by an audience, they graduate to the status of potential "abominations". Someone might actually do something.

Once the abomination is successfully perpetrated upon the world, it becomes REALITY. Fancy that - the unthinkable becomes the unspeakable, which becomes spoken and then becomes real. Reality always wins.
